Senza Filo Music Contest (‘Senza filo’ means ‘Wireless’) is a music contest open to all musicians, singers and bands that wish to play totally unplugged, without any electricity. The contest is oriented towards environmental issues such as energy saving, recycling, environmental protection, artistic recycling and more.

And then the venue. Cantiere Sanbernardo, the nonprofit cultural association which hosts the contest, is based in a fabulous 15th-century deconsecrated church in Pisa, Italy, where several young volunteers collaborate to share knowledge, amusement and culture. The sound in the church is, of course, fantastic since the space was originally conceived for a cappella singing.
